Pete`s Steak House in Atchison

Pete's is delicious! We have had amazing pizza here, and delicious Greek food. The gyros are amazing, as is the hummus and pita bread. The appetizers leaving you wanting more, and the service is great. There's definitely something to be said about a small, family owned restaurant...especially one that has been around for so long. It is extra convenient now with the Theatre being located next door, pizza and a movie is so easy!

Fantastic family owned restaurant!! They have an incredibly diverse, delicious menu but I totally recommend anything Greek -- you definitely can't go wrong since the owners are Greek! This unassuming restaurant will have you coming back again and recommending it to others!

The food is good, but there's no vegetable selection. They only serve a different vegetable per day. No broccoli on Saturday, only corn

I came in because of the reviews and I was not disappointed. I ordered a luncheon steak (8oz sirloin) and it was perfectly cooked. Waitress was very attentive and food served very timely. I even took home a piece of pie.

We had an amazing time, the food was amazing, the service was amazing. The server did excellent being we had some picky eaters. And the drinks we ordered were fantastic. I can't wait to go back.

Great place..we live about 30 miles away but were in town for Witches Night Out..the food was great..prices reasonable and service very good. A very cozy place. Will definitely return.

Steak overcooked medium rare arrived medium well. I would have sent it back but they were very busy. Service was okay. Drinks weren't topped off. Had to get our ticket at the register.

Best steakhouse around. Highly recommend this place. The cook fixes your steak exactly like you want it. Great service and excellent food.

As always we had a great meal there and their staff is always wonderful.

Awesome place to eat. Phone was dead so I could not take pictures. Service was on top of everything. I had the big Greek 1/2lb burger. It was awesome. Only problem I had was the wait for our food it did take 30 min. But the food was worth it.

Left there a couple hours ago full and happy. I had the tenderloin and it was just as I remembered. On the way out the waitress offered us drinks to go. Still have half of it left for later which also makes me happy.

Food took longer than it should have, but it was delicious the wait staff was excellent.

Good food, probably some of the best in town. The people are very nice here as well. The reason I knocked a star off is because they raised their prices.

Last Sunday, 23 Feb, our party of 12 had lunch at your restaurant. Some of us from northern & southern California (Sacramento & San Diego) and some from Florida, converging in Kansas for a funeral. But...the food was amazing, it was plentiful, very reasonably priced, and a great atmosphere as well. Making that dining experience even more memorable was our server, Maria. She did such an amazing job at taking our food/drink orders, checking back to see how we were doing.....she was absolutely wonderful and I simply had to make mention of the service she provided. GIVE HER A RAISE!!! :)

This is ABSOLUTELY the WORST place to eat, they are always being sites for the way they store their food, We ordered two chicken dinners, both had hair in them, when we telephoned to complain, we were told the hair could not have come from them, they guarantee that, the corn was covered in gravy, chicken was red, THE ABSOLUTE WORST, IF YOU ARE JUST USE TO ANYTHING, THEN PETE'S YOUR PLACE, Actually Sorry I had to give one star👎👎👎

Went for dinner and it was excellent. The waitress was amazing and friendly. The food came out hot and everything tasted great. I had the traditional gyro, tried the chicken gyro and carbonara. Another member in our party did the salmon was excellent. We will be going back!

I have eaten here on several occasions. I have tried several items on the menu and all are good...flavorful, attractive presentation, attentive staff.Pete's is kind of an iconic business in Atchison, and offers Greek & "Mid-western" American dishes. Nothing fancy but simple ingredients and satisfying portions.I love Greek food so I tend to gravitate towards their Greek menu, but today I chose steak & potatoes with a vegetable on the side. The smallest steak size is 8 oz...I actually prefer a 6 oz but the 8oz is manageable.A variety of desserts are available, bit I just had to go for the Baklava!A lunch buffet is offered (at least on Sundays) as well as ordering from the menu for dinner in or to go.Great place for lingering conversation & hot coffee!

Outstanding home cooked meals.

Salad bar and my Gyro was good but my boyfriend got the Prime Rib and onions and mushrooms and instead of him getting a Prime Rib they gave him a KC strip steak and tried to pass it as a Prime Rib u can tell the difference of the two we will not be back. And the place wasnt even half way full.

The food was good and so was the service!! Reasonable prices

I love this restaurant! This was my second visit, and both the food and service we're excellent! The seasoning on the dishes is always impeccable, and the portions generous--all at a fair price! Will be back!

Horrible. Staff was fine... I guess. My younger cousin got the kids spaghetti and Texas toast. It smelled awful! Weird decor. Dirty. The food is NOT good at all! I would recommend NOT to go here.

It had a nice atmosphere. The wait staff was ok, but they forgot to bring out 2 salads and silverware. We ordered wings and jalapeno poppers as appetizers. The poppers were good, but the wings not so much. I ordered a ribeye steak with a baked potato. It was cooked well, but it was a Denny's quality steak. My wife ordered the gyro platter. It did not taste fresh. My daughter ordered the Cajun chicken pasta. She enjoyed it. My niece ordered the 911 burger. It was one of the best looking dishes on our table. She also enjoyed it. I think next time we visit we'll order burgers.

What a great experience. Ordered the luncheon steak, order medium, came out medium. Melt in your mouth. Pete's has definitely outdone themselves. Plus, freshly remodeled restaurant.

Good variety on the menu. Very reasonable prices. Well prepared food. Should be able to satisfy a variety of tastes. My wife and I split a fried chicken dinner. Ample portions but not so much that we didn't have room for a slice of delicious cake. Should be able to find something to suit any but the pickiest eaters.

Pete's is absolutely amazing! I truly recommend going there. My friends and I ordered the pasta mamalina and shrimp basket. The food tasted immaculate! The food was nice and hot and the service was great. I will definitely be coming here again!

Service was awesome, the one thing that seems consistent in the food industry in Atchison is great service. The food wasn't stellar, I had the dinner gyro. I can't imagine it being any different than the lunch gyro, because it was like any other gyro I've ever had. It was good, but commonly good compared to other places I've had gyros. Go for the service, maybe try the prime rib if you're there on a Saturday.

Food and drinks were excellent. Had the ribeye- very flavorful, and you could almost cut it with a fork.

OMG this place was so unexpectedly amazing. I ate here with me and my boyfriend when our favorite place was too busy, and it was a happy surprise, the service was wonderful and the food was very delicious, and even while being busy our waitress made sure we were happy and got us our food in a good amount of time, and I particularly enjoyed the mirrors so that you can watch TV even when you're not positioned to see it. A very nice restaurant for affordable dates or even family outings.

We must have went on the wrong day. I had shrimp it was good, the wife got open face roast beef. You could eat it is the best i can say. Staff were friendly, sorry but Pete's don't make the cut.
